I’m so excited to share this styled shoot with you all, since the idea behind it is so close to my heart. I’ve been dreaming about this shoot for months before it actually happened! The concept behind it was to infuse a destination wedding feel into a styled shoot without having to travel too far, or use any ‘travel’ props. Trying to steer away from props brought the idea of using a horse named Blackjack into our shoot! Living in Manhattan, NY, doesn’t make it easy finding the right location for my vision. That said, Jamaica Bay Riding Academy in Brooklyn seemed to fit the bill, and couldn’t have been more perfect!
I collaborated with the super talented Lindsay of Lindsay Madden Photography for this shoot, so check out her blog for her take on it! The gorgeous bouquet in various shades of coral has been created by AvaFlora and it includes garden roses, ranunculus, and sweet peas. Trice of Vividly Glamourous did the model’s makeup and hair to perfectly match our theme, and the bride’s gown is designed by Pronovias.
Hope you find these images inspiring and easy to replicate for your own ‘day after’ photo shoot!
All images shot on color and B&W film. (Contax 645 and Canon 1v, Fujifilm 400H and Kodak Tri-X)
